Best regardsWhen to use this template
- About-the-company boilerplate paragraph appended to press releases and pitches. Same wording everywhere keeps positioning consistent.
- Fact sheet for media kits with headcount, founding year, key milestones, and customer logos.
- Investor or partner pitch one-pager combining boilerplate, traction, and key contacts.
Customize for your workflow
- Update boilerplate quarterly — at least the metrics. Stale numbers in press releases are an embarrassment.
- Have multiple lengths. 50-word boilerplate for press releases; 200-word for media kits; full one-pager for partner outreach.
Common questions
Should boilerplate be in every press release?
Yes. Different journalists pick up different releases; boilerplate gives every reader the same baseline understanding.
Who should approve changes to boilerplate?
Marketing leadership at minimum. CEO for major positioning changes. Boilerplate is the company's elevator pitch — changes shouldn't be casual.
