How early should service reminders go out?
Two weeks before the recommended interval. Earlier and they ignore; later and they've already gone elsewhere or driven past the interval.
Email or SMS for service reminders?
Both work. SMS has higher open rates; email allows more detail. Most shops do email primary + SMS for last-minute confirmations.
