[Name]When to use this template
- Product launch announcement to your existing list. Lead with the why, not the feature list.
- Flash sale or limited-time offer. Real urgency (real deadline, real cap), not fake urgency that trains people to ignore your emails.
- Seasonal campaign tied to Black Friday, end-of-year, back-to-school. Multi-email sequence with build-up, peak, and last-call sends.
Customize for your workflow
- Always include the actual deadline. 'Ends Sunday at midnight ET' beats 'Limited time only' for both clicks and conversions.
- Vary subject lines across the sequence. The first send announces; the second reframes; the last warns. Same subject in three sends gets trained out.
Common questions
How many promotional emails before subscribers unsubscribe?
It depends on your previous content mix. If you've been 50/50 educational and promotional, three promotional emails in a row will spike unsubscribes. Mix in value before promo.
Should I segment promo emails by purchase history?
Yes — at least split into 'never bought' vs 'bought before'. Promotional copy that worked on cold leads doesn't fit existing customers and vice versa.
