[Company]When to use this template
- Order confirmation with what they bought, what they paid, and what happens next. Three answers in three lines.
- Shipping notification with tracking link prominent and ETA in plain language ('arrives Tuesday' beats '2-3 business days').
- Account update emails (password changed, plan upgraded, payment method updated) that double as security signals.
Customize for your workflow
- Transactional emails get the highest open rates of anything you send. Don't waste them — include one helpful next-step link.
- Strip the marketing chrome. No header banners, no promotional footers. Receipts that look like ads erode trust.
Common questions
Can I cross-sell in transactional emails?
Yes, modestly. A 'people also bought' or 'set up your account' link at the bottom is fine. Putting promo banners above the order details is the wrong move.
Should transactional emails come from a no-reply address?
Avoid no-reply if you can. Customers expect to be able to reply with questions about their order. Forwarding replies to support is a small effort that pays off in CSAT.
