Selection Prompt
Pro
The fastest path from "this text is wrong" to "this text is right".
- Highlight text in a field on any page.
- Open the Spotlight (Ctrl+Shift+T on a Mac, Ctrl+Shift+E elsewhere) and pick the prompt. Typing its abbreviation won't run it, because typing would replace what you selected.
- The result replaces your selection.

Writing your own
A selection prompt is a snippet whose body uses {{selection}} where the highlighted text should go:
Rewrite the following as a changelog entry. One line, past tense,
no marketing language. Output only the line.
{{selection}}
Save it into the Selection Prompts collection, then run it from the Spotlight with text selected.
💡
Be explicit about output. Models like to add preamble. Ending the prompt with "Output ONLY the rewritten text" is why the starters replace your selection cleanly instead of pasting "Sure! Here's a revised version:".
