TypeFire opens any markdown file on your Mac, not only the ones in a vault. First, make it the default. Settings, General, then Set as Default. From now on, a double click on a dot m d file in Finder opens it here. Command O opens one from inside the app, and Open Recent remembers the last few. A folder somebody sent. Three of these are markdown, and they carry TypeFire's icon now. Select one and press space. Instead of raw text with hashes in it, Quick Look shows the document: headings, a table, tasks, a callout, and any picture the note refers to, read from the folder beside it. Double click, and it opens in the Markdown window: the app's own editor, with the file's path in the title, so you always know which file you are in. It edits the file where it is. Rename or move the file in Finder and the window follows it. And a document opens only its own window, never the whole app. This file is not in a vault. Save as note moves it into one: a title, and which folder it goes in. The window closes itself, and the note is open in the app, in the vault, with everything it had.
