Nothing expands at all. Almost always, that is the Accessibility permission, which TypeFire needs to see what you type. Settings, General, and the row tells you. Grant Access opens System Settings. Switch TypeFire on, and the app notices within a couple of seconds. It expands in one app but not another. In Snippets, Expand in decides where expansion is allowed: every app, or only the ones you list. Check the list. A web editor eats a character or leaves one behind. Two switches on the same tab: instant expansion, and the extra backspace for web editors. Try one, then the other. A Selection Prompt or a chain comes back with an error in it. That is the provider: an expired key, no connection, or Apple Intelligence switched off. Settings, AI, and the card at the top says what is connected. A shortcut will not record. macOS reserves some combinations, and another app may hold others. TypeFire tells you which, so pick a different one. And if it is none of these, Feedback is the last tab. Write what happened, and it comes straight to us with the version number attached.
