Search understands operators, and the same ones work on every surface. In the app, Command F puts you in the box. While it is empty, the operators are listed beside it. Type tag and a colon, and it becomes a capsule, with your tags listed under it. Pick one, and the list narrows. In, colon, is a folder. After, colon, is a date. Stack them, and every capsule narrows the list further. A minus in front of a word leaves it out. Left arrow from the start of the box steps back into the last capsule to edit it. Backspace there removes it. The X on the card puts it away for good: it flies into the search glyph, and hovering the glyph brings it back whenever you want it. The same box over any other app. Command Control Backslash, and the capsules work here too. App, colon, narrows everything to clips copied from one app. Or a plain word. Onboarding comes back as notes, a snippet, and a screenshot, all in one list, and the tabs at the top narrow it to one kind. This one is a screenshot. The word onboarding is not in its name, it is in the picture: Clips read the text when the screenshot landed, so a search finds it by what it says.
