AI on a note

The AI button in the editor toolbar can summarize, outline, continue, rewrite, or extract the tasks from a note. It runs on whichever provider you have set up in Settings → AI, including Apple Intelligence, which runs on-device with no network and no per-use cost.

It works on your selection, or on the whole note when nothing is selected.

The result is shown to you first, and you choose where it goes: insert at the top, insert at the bottom, save it as a new note, replace the note, or discard it. Nothing is written until you pick. If you pick and change your mind, Undo AI in the toolbar puts the note back the way it was.
