Keyboard shortcuts
The same list is one click away inside the app: the help icon in the bottom bar opens a menu with a one-screen shortcuts reference and this guide. This guide is also under Help → TypeFire Help in the menu bar. Every key below shows your own binding, so if you have changed one in Settings the guide has changed with it.
Global, from any app
| Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|
| ⌘⌃\ | Universal search: snippets, clips and notes at once |
| ⌘⌃1 | Spotlight snippet search |
| ⌘⌃2 | Quick Paste Pro |
| ⌘⌃3 | Search your notes |
| ⌘⌃⇧N | New note: quick capture, saved as its own note |
| ⌘⌃⇧M | New Markdown file |
| ⌘⌃⇧\ | Bring TypeFire to the front, from anywhere |
| ⌘0 | The main window, from any window of ours (Window → TypeFire). A closed main window comes back this way; clicking the Dock icon brings forward whatever window of ours is open, an editor included |
The Spotlight tabs are one chord and the world's own key, the same key that switches to that world inside the app. So 2 means Clips whether or not TypeFire is the window in front of you, and the only difference is whether you are holding the modifiers.
Bringing the app forward is one modifier shorter than everything else, on purpose. It is the one you press most, and it opens TypeFire rather than a panel over whatever you were doing.
