Turning it off, or read only
You decide what AI apps can reach in TypeFire, world by world, and you can turn them off or make them read only at any time.
Settings → AI apps (MCP) has these switches:
- Let AI apps on this Mac use TypeFire. Off, every connected AI app shows TypeFire as unavailable (in most apps, a red dot) and is told why. Turning it back on works straight away.
- Notes, Snippets and Clipboard history, one switch each. An AI app doesn't see the tools for a world that's off.
- Read only. AI apps can search and read, today's daily note included, but can't create, change or delete anything.
A change applies to the next request. You don't need to reconnect anything.
