Pro for free, by inviting people

Invite five people. When five of them sign up and open the Mac app, Pro unlocks for you permanently. Not a trial and not a discount.

It lives in Settings → Pro for FREE. Type an address, and TypeFire creates an invite link you can send however you like. The screen shows who has joined and how many are left.

A few rules worth knowing, so nothing looks broken:

• A referral counts once the person has installed and opened the Mac app. Signing up for the Chrome extension alone does not count.
• An invite has to come before the other person signs up. Inviting somebody who is already a TypeFire user does not count.
• Somebody signing up on your Mac does not count.
• A person counts once, ever, for whoever invited them first.

The screen tells you when a referral joined but did not count, and why, rather than leaving you to wonder why the number did not move.

If you already own Pro you can still invite people; there is simply nothing left to unlock, and the screen is called Invite friends instead.
